What it costs right now
Two editions, and Steam is discounting both of them in the current store read. Standard is $47.99 on Steam against a $59.99 list price. The Digital Deluxe Edition is $55.99 on Steam against a $69.99 list price. The Deluxe content on its own — Steam App ID 4146830, for someone who already owns Standard — is $7.99 in the same promotion against a $9.99 list price. Console storefront list prices still need to be checked at the storefront before buying.

The first Steam discount is live, and that is a measurement rather than a guess
The Steam store page read on 24 September 2026 shows a live 20% promotion: Standard at $47.99, Digital Deluxe at $55.99 and Deluxe DLC at $7.99. The page labels the offer as ending 1 October. That settles the current Steam discount, but it does not create enough history to predict the next one.
- One Steam promotion is a current price, not a pattern. This page does not publish an expected future percentage.
- The publisher, not Valve, decides whether a title participates in a seasonal sale. Being inside a sale window is not being on sale.
- The store page says this promotion ends 1 October, the same date the Autumn Sale window begins; do not assume the discount extends unless the store still says so then.
The two windows left in 2026
Valve publishes its sale calendar to developers through Steamworks rather than on the consumer store, so these dates are press reporting of a first-party announcement rather than a link you can open. They are the dates on which a discount becomes possible; they are not a discount, and no publisher statement connects this game to either.

Game Pass is the only genuinely zero-cost route, with one limit
This is the first GAME FREAK title to appear on Xbox Game Pass at launch, and it went up day one on 4 August 2026. Microsoft’s own announcement names Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass — not the cheaper Console or Core tiers — and what is included is the Standard edition. The Deluxe content is a separate purchase on top. There is no announced removal date; titles do leave the catalogue, and when one is scheduled to, Microsoft flags it in the app about a month ahead rather than announcing it in advance.
What would change this page
The current Steam promotion ending, extending or changing; another storefront discount appearing; a publisher announcement of a sale, a price change or a bundle; or a Game Pass removal notice.
